One of the main features of Entrepreneurial University is a new mission, namely participation in the economic development of society. And they do this mission through the commercialization of knowledge. In addition to the pressure caused by the new expectations of universities' performance, some other developments, such as the reduction of public budgets and the necessity of their financial independence, have made the commercialization of knowledge inevitable for the survival of universities. An irreplaceable feature of the present era is the movement and transition of leading countries towards knowledge-based economies. The process of commercialization as a requirement to complete the cycle of science and wealth, is important in the effort of "entrepreneurial university" in shaping and defining this strategic policy. Changing the perspective towards the university will facilitate and transform the commercialization process. In this view, the existential philosophy of the university will be innovation and entrepreneurship and connection with the industry, and the university will not be viewed as an institution cut off from the country's economic structure. It seems that the rereading of this theory will contain theoretical and practical implications for the process of commercialization (as the process of converting an idea into a product). Accordingly, in this research, while proposing the roots and dimensions of the "entrepreneurial university" theory, its effects We have discussed the commercialization process.
