The Moringa olifera tree can only grow in Chabahar and it is necessary to protect such habitats, which are important ecological reserves of the country. In order to investigate the characteristics of Moringa oleifera seed germination to seed priming factors, factorial design in two salinity treatments (=a1 witness distilled water, =a2 EC 3, =a3 EC 6, =a4 EC 12.) and irrigation cycle (=b1 witness every day, =b2 once 2 days, b3 = once 4 days, =b4 once 8 days Each of them was carried out in four levels in the form of randomized complete block design in three repetitions and different vegetative traits were measured. The results showed that the effect of salinity stress and irrigation cycle on germination indicators were significant.
Germination and growth characteristics were reduced by increasing the amount of sodium chloride and irrigation frequency. The highest percentage of germination was respectively in EC = 0 concentration with every day irrigation cycle, EC = 3 with every day irrigation cycle and EC = 3 with every other day irrigation cycle, which improved the germination indices of Moringa oleifera seeds. Increasing the EC of water and watering every 8 days decreased the germination percentage. Therefore, the reason for the lower percentage of germination in high concentrations of EC and long irrigation cycle can be seen as the effect of severe osmotic conditions that have an inhibitory effect on seed germination.
