The Role of Business Intelligence in Optimizing the Performance of Tile and Ceramic Manufacturing Industries: Identifying Key Indicators

Abstract
In today's competitive world, manufacturing industries increasingly require intelligent systems to enhance productivity and support managers in strategic decision-making. Business intelligence, as a key tool, plays a significant role in identifying organizational status and making strategic decisions. The purpose of this research is to identify key indicators of business intelligence performance in the tile and ceramic manufacturing industries. The desired KPIs were extracted through in-depth interviews with 12 experts in this field using thematic analysis. Expert selection was based on expertise and experience in related fields. After thematic analysis using MAXQDA software, 72 KPIs were identified, categorized into 12 organizing indicators, and further grouped into four overarching dimensions: financial, production, commercial, and human resources. The findings can increase productivity and competitiveness in the industry, helping managers to more effectively analyze their companies' situations using intelligent analytics and create accurate management dashboards. The research results improve the decision-making process and, as a strategy, pave the way for increased productivity and competitiveness in the market. This innovation in the use of business intelligence can serve as a new model for various manufacturing industries, creating a fundamental and intelligent transformation in decision-making processes.
