Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the key drivers of active sports tourism development in Iran using future studies. The type of research was applied and analytical-exploratory in nature. The assistance of 25 experts was used to extract the variables and 16 experts helped in the cross-analysis. To analyze the data, the combined panel methods of Mikomek cross-effects were used. The findings showed that the six factors of diversity in sports tours, sanctions imposed on Iran, travel facilitation, Iran's security in the region compared to neighboring countries, use of electronic and internet tools, and international sporting events had the greatest impact, indicating the great importance and high uncertainty of these factors in the future of active sports tourism in Iran. The country's sports managers are recommended to use the key drivers of active sports tourism development in order to develop the country's sports tourism in general.
