Abstract

,businesses tend to move towards more product diversity and customization. The Terme weaving industry, as one of the most important sectors in the textile industry, experiences intense competition compared to other textile industries. Developing this industry leads to increased income for various groups, reduced unemployment, economic prosperity, and consequently, an improved quality of life and increased social welfare. The aim of this research is to examine the importance of variables affecting new product development in the weaving industry and clarify their relationships. In the first stage, a review of relevant literature identified 107 indicators, which were then structured into 14 dimensions based on expert opinions. Using the fuzzy cognitive map (FCM) method and pajek software, the relationships between the influencing factors and their interconnections were explained. The research findings indicate that the factor of knowledge and technology development is more central compared to other factors, as it exerts a greater impact and is more influenced by other factors. Hence, more attention should be paid to this factor. Additionally, based on the research findings, it can be stated that the factor of mobilizing technological resources has the greatest influence on knowledge and technology development. Considering the critical role of knowledge and technology development in innovation, there are two distinct policy-making and strategic management paths for its development. Finally, the components (indicators) have been prioritized using the intuitionistic fuzzy TOPSIS technique, and the component (indicator) of having a strong research and development unit in the organization is identified as the highest priority.
