The Impact of Entrepreneurial Engagement on Well-being with the Mediating Role of Psychological Autonomy, Competence, and Relatedness (Case Study: Qazvin Social Security Organization)

Abstract

In the present study, the effect of entrepreneurial participation on welfare with the psychological mediating role of autonomy, competence and dependence of Qazvin Social Security employees was investigated. The research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of type, quantitative in terms of the nature of data and correlational in terms of relationships between data. The statistical population of the present study comprised of the managers and employees of Qazvin Social Security Organization. According to the structural equation technique, the sample size was determined to be between 5 and 15 times the number of measurements, 294 people, that is, 7 times the number of items in the questionnaire. The sampling method in this research was stratified random sampling. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire, the validity and reliability of which were confirmed. In order to check the hypotheses of the research, structural equation technique was used in LISREL software. The results of the data analysis revealed that autonomy, competence and psychological dependence play a mediating role in the impact of entrepreneur participation on well-being. Furthermore, competence and psychological dependence play a mediating role in the impact of entrepreneur participation on well-being. Entrepreneurial participation, psychological autonomy, psychological competence and psychological dependence have a positive and significant effect on perceived well-being, and psychological autonomy, psychological competence and psychological dependence are affected by participation. Psychological autonomy affects psychological competence and psychological dependence.
