Evaluation of factors affecting the development of recreational-sports tourism based on Entrepreneurial Ecosystem approach

Abstract

This study is trying to identify, analyze and modeling the different pillars and dimensions of development of recreational- sports tourism with a new approach to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The research method was analytical-survey and the statistical population included sports management specialists and sports tourism experts. The statistical sample was selected based on the minimum sample size in PLS software. Based on literatures, documents and explorative semi-guided interviews, a researcher-made questionnaire with 120 items in 7 pillar and its content validity and reliability coefficient (0.91) were also confirmed. Comparison of factors affecting the development of recreational sports tourism showed that the market pillar and interactions with average rank of 4.10 in the first priority, ecology pillar with average rank of 4.0, cultural pillar with average rank of 3.98, financial pillar with average rank of 3.95, support pillar with Average of 3.94, human capital pillar with average rank of 3.88 and policy axis with average rank of 3.82 had the most role in explaining the development of recreational-sports tourism. Based on the results of the structural model, the entrepreneurial ecosystem on the development of recreational-sports tourism with an impact factor of 0.71, the ecological context on the development of recreational -sports tourism with an impact factor of 0.65 and the entrepreneurial ecosystem on the development of recreational-sports tourism 0.54 is effective. Based on these results, recreational-sports tourism in the country should be developed with an entrepreneurial approach and the ecological context or the capacity of Iran's attractive natural resource should be used.
